The Great Outdoors
Friday night we headed up to the cabin with the Jewkes for a little sleepover. When we got there, the inside of the cabin was about 43 degrees. So, we turned on the heaters and made a fire and all sat around snuggled up in our coats and blankets waiting for it to warm up. As you can see, Dave looks thrilled to be so cold.
Carmen and Beck were toasty warm snuggled up and watching Shrek the Third.
Erin is always so happy...even when it's freezing.
We had so much fun. We had The Pie for dinner with leftover pumpkin pie for dessert, and then played Imaginiff (which is the greatest new game and I recommend it to everyone) and poker. By the time we went to bed, the cabin was nice and toasty, and the upstairs was so warm that Dave and Erin had to sleep with their window open. We had crepes for breakfast, cleaned up, and went home. We love being able to go up to the cabin. It is so close and yet it feels like a little mini vacation. It is definitely our favorite to be able to go up to the mountains, take a few deep breaths, and just get away from everything.
