I Quit!

Today was my last day of work, and I feel like dancing. I have been thinking about quitting ever since Owen was born but I have tried for the last three months to make it work because I really truly loved my job. But alas, it always seemed like whenever Owen was awake, I was paying attention to him and whenever he was asleep, I was working. So...Beck was being utterly ignored. He didn't seem to mind because this meant he got to play A LOT of Lego Star Wars, but I minded. I decided that being a stay-at-home mom meant more than just being at home. I need to focus more of my attention on the kids and also enjoy this time I have with them while they're little. I will have plenty of time to work someday when they're both in school. So, I am feeling a little sad that I had to give up a job that I love but I'm more excited that I get to relax a little bit and enjoy my boys' childhood.

Does this mean that the schedule will be more flexible, or have you already filled in the empty spaces?

Hurray for you. I agree that you want to spend this time with your boys. They grow up so fast. Before you know it, Beck will be in High school. Make lots of memories now. I also enjoyed holding Owen during R.S. It makes me happy. :)

Good for you. I am sure you will enjoy that extra time you have. They are only little once and I agree, it goes by so fast. (But some days are faster than others)
