We found a little family of quail in our front yard yesterday and the babies were so unbelievably tiny! They looked like they must have just been born!
They got a little nervous while we were looking at them and taking pictures and stuff and the parents started to try to take the babies across 11400 S. There is no way the babies would have made it across four lanes of traffic fast enough. So we had to head off the parents and then pick up the babies and take them to safety in the yard across the street from us. 
We thought they were safe until we saw a stupid cat begin to stalk them so we had to scare it away. 
They finally disappeared into the bushes and I hope that they will be just fine until the babies are a little bigger. 
I can't even describe how cute these little balls of fluff were. I had four of the babies in the palm of one hand and they were just so soft and tiny. I loved it!

They are adorable. You should feel proud that you saved their little lives. PETA would be so proud....
They are so cute!!! I hope they are okay too. I wish they were safe and sound, living away in some seculded lake in the mountains!
