Owen made it to four years old! (I'm just as surprised as you are.) We had an early birthday cake but it didn't matter because, according to Owen, "In my brain, I'm already 4."
He loved his Avengers cake.

He celebrated his big day at preschool
and felt pretty cool with his birthday crown. He insisted on wearing it all day.
After dinner it was all about the presents.
He got Avengers boxing gloves from Beck.
and a pitching machine.
Like moths to a flame, the neighborhood kids soon found their way to our yard to check out the new toy and to take a turn.

He also got Avengers goggles to take to the pool this summer.
Scott has the mentality and the sense of humor of a 4-year-old....
He fits right in with the little boys around here.
