Day at the Zoo

Yesterday Beck and I went to the zoo. It was a beautiful day because there was just a slight chill in the air and so the animals were out and frisky and there were not a lot of people there. We watched the tiger eat his lunch of a big pile of raw meat, the bears were wrestling, and Beck had fun playing on the playground, and, of course, we had to go on the train. Unfortunately, Scott had the camera with him at work so I wasn't able to take pictures. We have learned that the best time to go to the zoo is in the winter. The animals are not in a coma from the heat, and there is absolutely no one there. My favorite day at the zoo was in the middle of December and it was 26 degrees outside. There was only one or two other little groups there so we got to talk to all the zookeepers. It was great fun, albeit a bit chilly.
