Backup for a Minute

It has been so crazy around here that I need to go back a few weeks to the start of summer.

We decided to get a season pass to Lagoon this year.

We enlisted Jackson to be our fourth so we wouldn't have an odd number and headed out for the day.  Owen was so excited because this year he gets to go on more of the big rides....especially Wicked!  He couldn't wait to try them all out.

He was quickly traumatized by Spider....not a fan.

He loved Music Express though, especially when he got to smush me into the wall.

We had to scream on The Centennial Screamer!

All the boys were pretty upset about getting soaked on Rattlesnake Rapids....NOT!

We have finally set up our summer configuration in our backyard.  We love our new eco-friendly fire pit.  I really like that we don't come inside smelling like smoke every night plus it doesn't contribute to the crappy air in the valley.  It's a win! win!

Owen finished up his soccer season.

We ended the season with a celebratory pizza dinner at Rocky Mountain Pizza where they got their trophies.  Owen was thrilled to have yet another trophy for his dresser (he has a total of four now!)

In honor of summer, we had to do buzz cuts.  

We started Beck with a skunk stripe.

Then, the official start to summer - we went to the Ryan Shupe concert.  It would not feel like summer without this concert.  It is our favorite night of the year and this year did not disappoint.  

We went to dinner first and snuggled in for a nice night of great music. 

We love that Schroepfers and Hansons share our tradition.

Owen's love of  the song "Brand New Shoes" was even referenced from the stage because when we met the band a few years ago he yelled at Ryan for not singing that song.

We were also thrilled that Grandpa Dennis came and joined us!

Summer is now halfway over (only five more weeks til school starts) and loads has happened!  I'll try and get caught up soon!
