We headed up to Rockport on Friday night with a bunch of friends from the neighborhood.
We kept it low key, leaving the trailer and dutch ovens home, sleeping in a tent and roasting hot dogs over the fire.
The boys loved it! It was a perfect night, albeit a little chilly (it got down to 39 degrees), but as soon as Owen climbed in to share my sleeping bag, we were fine.
We were so happy that Dave and the girls decided to brave our weird friends and come with us. It was a great weekend full of swimming, marshmallows, and lots and lots of dirt!
Rhodey is trying hard to stay cool this summer - I think he's doing a great job!
For our summer fun this week, we made our doppelganger paper bag puppets,
Set up our own waterslide,
Played with "Sponge Bombs,"
And took a field trip down to the park. The boys were so excited to run the WHOLE WAY across the field.
Owen lagged behind a little bit....
but he finished and was so proud of himself!
