We went up on Sunday to winterize the cabin. We thought maybe we were too late to see all the beautiful leaves - we weren't. It was fabulous up there.
Absolutely lovely.
I go up to the cabin and just find myself taking deep breaths. It is like a balm to my very soul to be up in the mountains. I come home feeling renewed, refreshed, and rejuvenated.
The kids loved it too, but for a very different reason. They get to scream to their hearts content. They get to throw rocks off the cliff. They get to get dirty and muddy without fear of correction by any authority. Oh the freedom of the outdoors!
They were excited to find this carving at one of the other cabins, but disappointed that this was the only wildlife we saw during this brief trip.
Cute boy with a magnificent yellow mountain in the background.
Our trip just wouldn't be complete without a bare butt making an appearance.
Fun day!
