Kindergarten

Monday was Beck's first day of school. He was so excited to go to the school where all the big kids go. We have decided to walk to school this year and got caught in the rain on Monday. Luckily, Scotty anticipated our dilemma and soon showed up to rescue us.

After we dumped the kids at school, the moms headed off to a celebratory breakfast with the little kids. Erin was a little excited to have a kid in second grade.

The little ones were a little forlorn to be without the big kids, but they soon got over it.

Owen just enjoyed a muffin without much thought about anything else.

Tiffany pretended to be happy as she fought back her tears.

Dear Public School,
Please take care of my little boy.
Please recognize how special he is and don't let him get lost in the shuffle.
Please keep him safe.
Please show him not only how to learn but also how to teach.
Please help foster his creativity and his independence.
Please understand that he is everything to me.
Love,
His Mom

Beautiful letter. Many mom's were feeling that way I'm sure. When I took Michael to school the first day, I did cry. With Mallory, I cried because she was my buddy and special help with baby Cameron. When I dropped Cameron off at Kindergarten on the first day, I celebrated! NO TEARS! I had the house all to myself even for a few hours. It was AWESOME!
