Beck is just starting to learn words, and he loved spelling the word zoo all day after we went on Wednesday. We got to go with Jen and Baylee and Caron and Jackson because Jackson didn't have kindergarten that day. We had such a fun day! The animals were pretty active. We saw the bear chasing off birds, the penguins were swimming, and the baby monkey was swinging around the cage. Jackson and Beck went inside the burrow and poked their heads out of the hole. Beck is almost tall enough to be in the picture. 
What they didn't see was that the skunk was sitting right behind their heads. When Jenny came to check things out he ran right in front of her face and scared her! It was hilarious!

This was my favorite. We showed up just in time to see the elephant training session. The trainer told the elephant to open his mouth and give her his foot...
Then to get down on his knees...
And then to take a bow.
He got rewarded with a huge pile of carrots. It was a bit chilly and there were tons of kids on field trips, but overall, it was a good visit to the zoo!
