We headed up Little Cottonwood Canyon for some camping with Scott's family this weekend. We had a blast! We went up on Saturday and just barely missed the canyon being closed for the Tour of Utah bike race. We set up our tents, grabbed our cow bells, and headed out to the road to watch the race. There was a lot of waiting involved for the riders to actually make their way up the canyon....
but once they got there, it was amazing! For like four minutes! And then they sped away! Not a letdown at all.....
Back at camp, Ryan and Scott found some toys to play with.
Beck found his grandma and played cards ALL weekend! Crazy Eights, Go Fish, War, 52-Card Pickup, Blackjack....you name it and they played it.
Owen had the time of his life with his newfound cousins. He and Nora loved playing in the volleyball court....I mean sandbox.
Here's Owen and Bowen snuggled up and playing with somebody's phone.
Going crazy with the spray whipped cream.
It was such a fun weekend. We always love to reconnect with family. We didn't even let Beck puking in his sleeping bag, Owen peeing in his sleeping bag, or rain ruin our weekend.
On a separate note:
Colby finally received his mission call this week.
Where will it be????
Mendoza, Argentina!
Colby is such a great kid and this is going to be such a wonderful adventure for him. The Argentinians are going to be lucky to have him!
