Our fun day continued on the Alpine Slide. Dave & Baylee raced down against Grandma & Carlee. All we could hear as they sped by was Carlee screaming, "Faster! Faster!"
We watched them on the bridge. Connor decided to "photobum" my picture.
There was so much wildlife up there. On the drive up the canyon I saw a coyote just meandering up the street and then everywhere you turn, there are these adorable little potguts just waiting for you to drop a crumb. If you look close, you can see one climbing up Dave's foot. He then climbed into the bottom of the stroller, stole a Cheeto, and then ran away.
Connor was our resident potgut tamer.
Sanya ended up having the hardest weekend - getting bit by a potgut (required a tetanus shot) and crashing on the Alpine Slide (required a band-aid).
By the time we made it back to the rooms, we were exhausted. The boys immediately pulled out the sleeper sofa and soon were fast asleep.
Apparently, Dave still had a little energy.
The little kids (Owen & Connor) started playing tag on the deck and soon Owen ran in, breathless, and said, "Colby. There. Is. A. Moose." We doubted him at first, but sure enough there was a moose right outside our room. Dustin was very surprised.
He hung out for a few hours, munching on wildflowers.
He was definitely the highlight of my whole weekend. He was beautiful!
It was a great weekend. I always love hanging out with my family, having fun, telling stories, and just reconnecting. What a great weekend! I've already started to help my mom plan next year!
Yellowstone anyone?
