Randomness

We've been doing lots and lots of normal everyday stuff....not a whole lot that's exciting so here's a few random updates of our life.

We went up to Dustin's house for our January birthday party last Sunday.  When we left our house, there were a few flurries in the air.  When we hit I-15, it was practically a blizzard.  We contemplated turning around, but Scott is always up for a challenge.  It was a bit harrowing - we saw 12 wrecks in the course of the drive - but we finally made it up there for a delicious dinner.

As worried as I was during the drive, Owen was wholly unaffected.

The other day, I went into Owen's room during his nap and found him sleeping with Beck's Scrat mask on.  It made me laugh out loud which woke Owen up....good job Laura.

At Beck's RadKids graduation, we got to sit next to Tiffy and Braxton.  The baby started kicking during the show and Tiffy was nice enough to let Owen feel it.  He had never felt a pregnant tummy before, and his eyes got as big as saucers.  He couldn't believe that there was actually a baby in there!  Crazy!

And finally, I have decided to take some classes to start to renew my teaching certificate.  It's a long road ahead of me, but I figure I should be able to go back to teaching in two years when Owen hits 1st grade.  I'm nervous because I never thought I would go back to teaching, but I'm also excited to not only continue doing something I once loved, but also to be able to help out our family financially so that maybe someday Scott and I can actually retire....

Teachers have gotten big huge raises in the last eight years right????
