Today Beck hit a HUGE milestone. I think we have decided to discontinue his naps all together. Up until now, I had to go to downstairs to work and he would play in his room for about an hour. He would then lay down and sleep for an hour or two. Lately, I had been finding that he would just be lying there, not tired, or just playing for the whole time. Since I still have to work during that time, I have been trying to come up with an acceptable solution. I think today we found one.
He still played in his room for the first hour. Then he came downstairs and joined me in the office. He did an art project at his own desk and then colored for the rest of the time. He got to listen to all of his favorite Disney songs on my iPod so that he wouldn't be tempted to try to talk to me while we worked. I still got in my two hours of work but he didn't have to lay in his bed bored. He is getting to be such a big boy! I love it!

Beck really is a big boy. He is so good too. I can't believe that he will just draw and stuff and leave you alone. I can't get my kids to that now. Sheesh. Maybe Beck could give them some advice. :)
That is a milestone. It's another wonderful sign that you are leaving the toddler years behind. Don't get used to too much freedom though, you're about to start all over again! How's that for a Debbie Downer? HA HA
