Owen is now 6! It was like Hanukkah for Owen because we celebrated his birthday for eight straight days. First we had a party up at Dustin's house for Jen, Oaklee, Jackson, and Owen.
Then we had a dessert night specifically for Owen's birthday cake. He loves Pokemon right now so I made him a Poke-ball.
All of the little boys.
Blowing out the candles....make a wish!
Then Linda stuck around after and she and Mal were doing a magic trick for Owen.
He could not figure out how they were "magically" passing the ball back and forth.
The genuine amazement on his face was priceless.
His actual birthday morning. We had birthday pancakes.
And I decorated his chair super fun.
That night, we had a special dinner (he chose pineapple meatballs) and opened his gifts from me and Beck. He got a birdhouse craft set and a DS game.
Since it was a special occasion, that night, he got to have a special glow stick bath. No lights on in the bathroom....just the gentle glow of the glow sticks. He loved it...especially the glow stick ring toss he got to play with.
Friday night, we went out to dinner with Jeff and Nick. We picked Bonsai because Owen likes when they make the fireball.
Owen was a teensy bit excited about his ice cream sundae....
Afterwards, we went over to Nickelcade.
Owen loved riding on the kiddie rides.
Beck and Nick were interested in tickets and Skee Ball.
And Jeff was all over the place....Star Wars, Dance Dance Revolution, and Deal or No Deal. I think he had more fun than the kids.
It was a great birthday. I will post pics from his two birthday parties soon. He is so proud to be six and his favorite joke all week was when people would ask him how old he was and he would say, "Six.....teen!" He thought that was hilarious!
