Ole!

Scott and I just spent a long weekend in Mexico.  We flew out Thursday morning in the middle of a huge snowstorm and the temperature was 13 degrees....

Three hours later, we were walking along the beach

enjoying a beautiful sunset.

We had a lovely steak dinner that night

topped off with a flaming Baked Alaska.

The next day, we took a catamaran out to Lover's Beach.  I loved seeing all of the sea lions, especially the ones who try to steal the fishermen's catches as they pull into the marina.

The arch.

Our guide/waiter.  He kept all the drinks flowing.

When we got to our destination of Santa Maria Bay, we got to do a little snorkeling.  I didn't last very long in the water.  I have an extreme phobia of sharks and the ocean in general and ended up having a panic attack....sitting on the boat safely soaking up the sun was wonderful.

There were two cute little cats wandering around the resort.  It was fun to watch them chasing (and catching) the moths that were the size of my hand.

Walking along the beach into town to do a little shopping.

We took a taxi into town and had dinner at "The Office."  This was, by far, my favorite meal that we had in Cabo.  We had steak nachos and they were amazing.  I'm sure it didn't hurt that we were sitting on comfy couches on the beach watching the waves as we ate.

We spent our last morning shopping in town for souvenirs.

We got some great deals, and I had a blast practicing my Spanish with the shopkeepers who were more than happy to argue about prices with me.

It was a quick fun trip.  It felt like we crammed five days of fun into two days, but it was perfect.  Now back to reality....I have to go shovel the snow off the driveway!
