Yellowstone (pt. 2)

The next day, we headed to Yellowstone.  We stopped at the Upper and Lower Falls.

Each cute family had to have their picture taken.

Adorable.

Soon after this point, I accidentally dropped my cell phone in the woods. (Please don't ask what I was doing in the woods.)  I realized my phone was gone about five miles down the road and we had to turn around and go back.  It was a heart stopping few minutes until I found it.  You don't realize how much you depend on your phone until it's gone.
But then we found some wildlife friends.

Had a delicious picnic lunch.  Oaklee was a proper little lady.

My boys were talking Tip's ear off about Pokemon.

We saw Artistic Point and enjoyed the waterfall and the crush of tourists.  Owen had his picture taken with a very strange Japanese woman who told him to get out of the way, hugged him, and then made him stay in the picture.  It was odd but hilarious.

Off to the Gift Shop!

Everyone had to try on the different hats.

And I do mean everyone....

We had a mid-afternoon ice cream snack at Yellowstone Lake.

We walked around and saw lots of paint pots.

And finally, for the pinnacle site of the day, we saw Old Faithful erupt.

We made it back to West Yellowstone at 8:30 p.m. and had a delicious barbecue dinner.

We were so tired.  We didn't get back to our house until 11:00 that night.  We called it a horribly awesome day simply because we were so tired, hot, and a little cranky.  But it was amazing.  We definitely had experiences in Yellowstone that can never be replicated.
