We went with Grandma Connie and her work to Lagoon Day. It was the first time I have ever been to Lagoon in September, and I think every other office in the state had the same Lagoon day because it was packed! Luckily, later in the day it started to rain a little and scared away the masses.
Beck waiting to start swinging.
Who are those two cute little girls riding in the boat?
Oh wait! That's just Owen and Carlee!
Beck, by far, had the most fun of anyone all day. He was finally tall enough to do all of the big boy rides. He tried Colossus (which made me so proud because I didn't try that until I was 13), Wicked, Spider, and The Wild Mouse. He was also excited to try one of the haunted houses. He wanted to do it very last so that it would be dark and make it even better. Needless to say,as evidenced in the picture below, it was not a good experience. As soon as the first creature jumped out, he was done. He spent the rest of the ride with his hands over his eyes. We didn't want to end the day on a sour note, so he and Scott went to do the white roller coaster one last time before heading home.
Terror ride aside, it was a great day! I loved being able to share all of these new experiences with both Owen and Beck. Who knew you could find so much pleasure in watching someone else have fun.....parenthood is weird!
