Michael and Morgan

Michael decided to take the first step towards the dark abyss that is marriage ;) and he decided on a creative and delicious way to propose. Morgan is a bit of a princess and absolutely loves everything Disney so he wanted to incorporate that into his proposal. He asked me to make him a castle cake and, like an idiot, I said yes. It was a lot of work, but it was definitely fun. I had to work with fondant for the first time to make almost 300 flowers and cover the turrets, and it was a good learning opportunity, but I think I'll stick with buttercream from now on.

The cake turned out great....

Michael made her his offer....

And she said yes!

Congratulations to the happy couple! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special moment!

Laura, you did an amazing job with this cake. I don't think thank you's are enough. But you definitely had a big part in making this proposal a memorable one. Michael thinks very highly of you and Scott and the boys. Otherwise, he would have found someone else to help him with this. You are a good friend! Thanks so much! Oh, by the way, I actually posted something on my blog. Shock!!!

Holy Crap Laura. You are amazing. That cake is AWESOME. Fondant looks so hard. I was thinking of making Jaxon's b-day cake with fondant but quickly decided it was too much work for a 4 year old.
I am very impressed. That is a lot of work. I am glad she said "yes". Seriously, how do you do it?
